Bodywork Repairs

A minimum period of 3 days must be allowed  after completion of the work before applying any form of abrasive contact with the repaired area. This includes the use of any cleaning chemicals, especially those used by hand and automatic car washes.

The repaired area must therefore not be handled, washed or polished during this period.

After this period, the vehicle paintwork should be cared for in accordance with the guidelines provided by the vehicle manufacturer’s aftercare handbook.

Alloy Wheel Repairs

Please be aware that the use of high power jet washes or automated car washes can have an aggressive effect on a repair and can potentially remove the paint surface from wheels around small chips. For best results and durability, please follow the guidelines in this document.

A minimum period of 3 days must be allowed with the refurbished alloy wheel/s. (5 days in cold conditions when the paint may take longer to cure). This includes the use of any cleaning chemicals. Refurbished alloy wheels must therefore not be handled, washed or polished during this period, nor should tyres be changed within 5 days of the repair.

Any subsequent damage caused under these circumstances within this period is not covered by our guarantee. After this period, we recommend that refurbished alloy wheels should be cleaned using warm water and a non-abrasive cloth or brush.
